 Limited space and scarce natural resources, as well as the fragility of ecosystems, are forcing people around the world to adopt a responsible attitude to the use of scarce resources and to be aware of the environmental consequences of human activities.
Environmental responsibility is a core Forbo value, and has been so for decades. Natural raw materials are a major part of Forbo's strong environmental performance. However, state-of-the-art processes ensure that each production stage for all Forbo's products also cause minimum environmental impact.
Forbo employ Health, Safety and Environment specialists to develop and implement effective environmental policies and were one of the first flooring companies to be awarded ISO14001.
On average 12% of Forbo's total investments are spent on measures designed to further improve their environmental performance.
The results of Forbo's efforts are published annually in a corporate environmental report, which can be found on their website.
