To encourage the art of linocut (relief) printmaking, The Silk Cut Foundation has produced a DVD that teaches two very simple linocut techniques to students of all ages. This DVD has been distributed, for free, to every primary and secondary school in Australia. Copies are available for purchase through the Silk Cut Website.
'The Art Of Printmaking - The Silk Cut Way' contains:
• a gallery of selected works from the Silk Cut Collection, now held in the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra
• interviews with artists Rona Green and Heather Shimmen
• two demonstration sequences for easy playback in the classroom
• an informative booklet that complements the demonstrations
